This is obviously not the case as a large portion of people have moved on. You are failing to realize that replacement games don't have to be the same. As I said before, part of the issue is that the game gets stagnant for people so they move on to new things. It wouldn't make sense to move on to something exactly the same.

In the end, I realize I'm preaching to people that have some kind of undying love for this game. You are going to argue with me to the death since people tend to defend things they love. It's really not that unique of a concept and to assume it has no replacement is ridiculous. If I were looking for a "replacement" game, I would look for a game that is completely different from this one simply because I don't want there to always be a standard of comparison.

From what I can tell, a lot of those are players who graduated from college and moved on from heavy time-commitment teamplay gaming. For people who want to keep playing GW as it once was, but quit because of bad balancing or whatever, there really aren't very good alternatives.

A lot of people who played on a high level time ago return every once in a while to find out either that they don't even want to give it a try, or to play for a couple weeks to a month before quitting for some months again.
Those are the people who enjoy what the game was and has been and can't find something else which replicate the same concepts properly.

Then there are people who simply quit due to real life restrictions to never come back, the people who just ragequit in frustration.
